Heavy, wide, and visibly worked — this bowl has the kind of presence that takes time to earn. Reclaimed from rural Indian households and havelis, the porous marble has absorbed years of cooking oils — turmeric, ghee, ginger — leaving a deep, yellowed patina that no finish can replicate; some pieces carry old staple repairs where a crack was mended rather than the bowl discarded. It sits well on a kitchen island, dining table, or console.

Its patina took decades of kitchen work — the most storied surface among our decorator pieces.
