The brass case sits closed on a table — it's only when you slide a coaster free that the dark bone inlay reveals itself. Each tile is stained bone laid in a fine grid, matte black against warm metal, the two materials set in deliberate contrast. The slight unevenness in the tile seams is the mark of hand assembly, not a flaw. Works on a coffee table or side table where the set can sit as an object in its own right.

Most coaster sets end up scattered; this one has somewhere to go. The matte black bone against the brass is a real contrast rather than a tonal one, and the hand-laid tile seams stop it looking machine-made.
  • Material: Bone and brass
  • Finish: Matte stained bone, polished brass
  • Use: Drinks coasters with holder
  • Origin: India
  • Colour: Black, Gold
  • Dimensions: 11cm D × 11cm W × 5cm H

Keep the brass case out on the bar cart rather than in a drawer — closed, it reads as an object rather than storage.

Placement: Bar carts, side tables, desks, dining sideboards

Perfect for: A bar cart or desk where four loose coasters would end up scattered by the end of the week.

Bone and brass both mark with standing water — dry after use. The brass will darken over time unless polished; leave it or bring it back with a metal polish, either reads fine. Indoor use.

Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. Not dishwasher safe.
