A rounded urn of a base with the raw, chalky surface of sun-dried clay, topped by a wide parasol shade of fine cord stretched line by line. The base is handcrafted paper mache over an iron frame — much lighter than it looks — and it takes a standard E27 bulb with an inline switch on a 200cm cord. Made for a bedside or console where the shade has room to spread.

The shade does something unusual — dozens of cords pulled taut into a parasol, so the light comes through in fine lines when it's on. And the paper mache base carries all the presence of a clay urn at a fraction of the weight, which matters on a bedside table.

Handcrafted paper mache base over an iron frame with a woven dori cord shade. E27 fitting, max 9W LED (bulb not included). Inline on/off switch, 200cm black cord. IP20 — indoor use only. Surface texture varies piece to piece — part of the handmade process.

Cleaning: Wipe the base gently with a soft, dry cloth. Dust the cord shade with a soft brush. Keep away from moisture — paper mache is not water resistant.
