A square cushion in a warm, sandy velvet — short cotton pile with a low sheen that shifts as the light moves across it. The tone sits earthy and neutral, close to raw sand, easy beside both pale and darker pieces. Garment-dyed for deep, even colour and finished with a 1cm flange that gives the edge a clean, tailored line. It brings softness and a bit of sheen to a sofa or bed layered mostly in flat linen and timber.
Use velvet sparingly against flat linen — one or two in a group reads richer than a whole row.
