Hand-stitched cowrie shells create a dense banded surface around this rounded Hausa bowl, set against dark vintage leather. Made in northern Nigeria from natural raffia, leather, cowrie shell and string, each bowl carries small differences in the shellwork and finish. It sits well on a console or sideboard where its texture can hold the space without needing to be filled.

Each piece has been intricately created by hand. If there are small flaws it is a sign and proof of human touch, making each and every piece unique with tiny little differences. Images are a representation of the product and item supplied may differ from the one pictured.
