The broad, low profile and darkened grain give this Hausa bowl a settled, grounded presence. It was hand carved from a solid piece of indigenous wood, then used for preparing, serving and storing food; the age marks and decorative repair work remain part of the surface. Place it empty on a dining table or console, where the worn timber and rounded edge can be seen from every side.
Each piece has been intricately created by hand. If there are small flaws it is a sign and proof of human touch, making each and every piece unique with tiny little differences. Images are a representation of the product and item supplied may differ from the one pictured.
Leave it empty or use it to hold a small, simple collection; its character is strongest when the surface around it stays spare.
Placement: Dining table, console or open shelf
Perfect for: A textural focal point in a restrained living or dining space
One of a kind; expect marks, tonal variation, age-related wear and small irregularities.
