The Mesa is a low, round slab raised on five stout legs that taper to the floor like a cluster of columns — primitive and sculptural, more object than furniture. The cast aluminium top is gently domed and worked uneven by hand, its matte black surface taking in the light rather than throwing it back. The five thick legs splay out beneath, lifting the heavy disc so it sits as though floating just off the floor. It holds the centre of a room, low enough to sit below sofa-arm height with space to move around it.
